The winners of the 2009 Karaoke World Championship are Adrian Kenny from Ireland (Male title) and Nataliya Pilyutina from Russia (Female Title). Second place went to Riku Torkkeli of Finland (Male title) and Australian attorney Dina Bit-David. Rounding out the top prize winners are Ellie Hatem from Lebanon (Male) and Petra Linberg of Finland (Female) for third place.
U.S. finalist Brian Scott made the first cut and reached the semi-finals (top 20). 

The championships were broadcast live for the first time on the Internet in its entirety via www.karaokeuniverse.net. The broadcast included live interviews with singers and KWC officials and as in previous years, Ireland boasted the most supporters. As predicted, Australia, Lebanon and Ireland made strong showings at the annual competition with Ireland's Jennifer Ward voted as the audiences' favorite.
