How Do I Compete in the Karaoke World Championships?
Find a local bar, restaurant, or other venue near you that is participating. Can't find anyone? Contact the KWCUSA directly for information on who is hosting a contest near you, OR sign up using the virtual online entry option to go straight to the nearest local, regional or state competition nearest you. ......................................................................................... Does it Cost Me Any Money?
The KWCUSA only allows venues to require a nominal entry fee. Many venues don't require any fee at all. If you sign up directly using the virtual online entry option, a fee is required. ........................................................................................
What Will I Win? Local and state winners may get an expense paid trip to compete in the State finals or a cash prize depending on the venue. Regional winners receive over $1,400 worth of prizes, including studio recording time. Of course the lucky male and female national champs go to the world championships on an all expense paid trip and $1,200 pocket cash. For details, see the official KWCUSA prizes listed on their site. ........................................................................................
Are There Any Age or Other Restrictions?
Singer / contestants must be at least 18 yrs. old, a U.S. citizen and be an "amateur." An amateur is generally someone who is NOT being paid as a singer on a full-time basis. See the official KWCUSA rules for more info.
