Apparently bad karaoke singing can be criminal. A couple in the U.K. that sang karaoke “day and night” according to their neighbors, have finally stopped after local police finally obtained a warrant to seize their prized karaoke machine. Neighbors had been complaining to authorities that the couple played their music so loud it could be heard over 150 feet away. The walls of their apartment building would vibrate whenever they sang, and they sang all the time according to one neighbor who described their hobby as “an absolute nightmare.” It seems as though the couple were partial to a very popular Irish boy band called “Westlife,” who have been around since 1998, and were actually signed by Simon Cowell of American Idol fame, and even had one their hits, “Flying Without Wings,” recorded by American Idol Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard.
