You have seen them. And you have no doubt heard them. They are out there, everywhere, at bachelorette parties, at pubs on college night, and yes even in your local karaoke bar. The Fox T.V. series “How I Met Your Mother,” even did a show about them. The Urbandictionary.com calls them “Woo Girls” and the official definition of a Woo girl is:

A female who is often found screaming 'WOOOOOO!' in public. This behavior is most often exhibited while in the presence of other “woo-girls.”  It is speculated that this is a mating call used to attract men of less than average intelligence. This behavior can most easily be observed in bar districts, at Maroon 5 concerts, or any spring break destination. Also,

Regardless of their eccentricities, Woo Girls fuel the lost underground karaoke economy for corny pop songs that many of us wish only existed in the foggy recollection of our childhood. Instead Woo Girls, like bastard children, remind us each day of our past lapses in judgment.
