For 25 years the world's best rock bands perform here on an intimate stage for free. The list pf performers reads like the Who's Who of Rock n' Roll; Springsteen, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, David Bowie, Neil Young.
The performances are unlike any other since everyone who comes must perform acoustic sets, even Metallica. Its called the annual Bridge School benefit, organized by Neil Young and his wife Pegi. The school , located Hillsborough, CA is for severely handicapped children.
Over the years, this concert has amassed an incredible catalog of one-time performances. Imagine hearing an acoustic version of Metallica's "Disposable Heroes" or the Who's " Won't Get Fooled Again, or Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell." Thanks to Neil and Pegi we will be able to on October 24th. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the concert and of course, raise proceeds for the school - a 3 DVD and 2 CD set will go on sale. The DVD set will retail for $21.99 and the CD set for $14.99.
