Adele and Kanye West were the top nominees for the 2012 Grammys. Adele was nominated in six categories including album of the year for "21."  Her "Rolling in the Deep" will compete with Bruno Mars' "Grenade" and Katy Perry's "Firework" for record of the year.

Kanye topped the field with seven Grammy nominations including song of the year for the star-studded anthem "All of the Lights." Other multiple nominees include Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Radiohead.

Most notable snubs include Taylor Swift, who received three nominations in the country category but none in any mainstream categories. Taylor won for best album in 2010 for "Fearless," but her new album "Speak Now" did not make showing in that category depite going multi-platinum. Kanye West's album "Watch the Throne" also failed to make a showing.
