The President's Playlist

Much has been said about Barrack Obama’s musical taste. The Guardian UK opined that his IPod playlist “reads like the acts at a summer music festival.” The president-elect himself describes his tastes as “pretty eclectic.” Indeed his song choices run the gamut from ‘Yo-Yo Ma’ to ‘Ludacris’, and everything in between. In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine last Summer, Obama opened up his IPod and shared his playlist with the world. That interview revealed much love for Bob Dylan; he has nearly 30 tracks, and a healthy affinity for Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones. While KaraokeTraveler finds it regretful that Mr. Obama was not grilled on his karaoke habits, his top song picks listed below may give insight into what tracks he would be looking for in a karaoke songbook should he ever partake. In the meantime if you want a sampling of the soon-to-be commander-in-chief’s singing ability, listen to President Obama singing in spanish.
